The Gathering Place: a refuge for rebuilding lives
Women and children who seek assistance from The Gathering Place have access to a wide range of programs and services that are specifically designed to be welcoming and beneficial to them. Since 1989, our programs and services have evolved to meet the constantly changing needs of women and children living in homelessness or poverty. The Gathering Place is more than just a place; it is the collective soul of our participants, our staff, our volunteers, and our community. The Gathering Place’s philosophy of care is founded on three basic principles:
Shelter from Harm (Meeting Basic Needs)
Community of Acceptance (Building Relationships)
Opportunities for Hope (Personal Growth and Learning)
